The AdSense network revenue hit $2 billion in Q1 of 2016, according to research firm Gartner.
AdSense revenue in Q4 of 2016 reached $1.7 billion.
The network has been growing in its growth, though.
In the first three months of 2017, the network’s ad revenue reached $2,216.5 million, according the firm.
In 2018, it reached $3.6 billion.
AdWords revenue in the same period reached $6.7bn.
And Google is hoping that its AdSense-like ad revenue model will continue to grow.
“We believe AdSense will continue growing as the platform becomes more integrated into the web, with a focus on providing advertisers with targeted advertising solutions,” the company said in a statement.
“AdSense is a unique advertising platform with a long history of creating revenue, and we are committed to continuing to innovate and build the ad platform for our advertisers.”
In an interview with TechCrunch, Google executive VP of AdWords Adam Green wrote that the network is growing and that AdSense is “a key part of our AdWords platform.”
